Descriptive text
(SUMMARY - REVIEW - REPORT)
1) It is a text or a portion of text, which describes a person, an object, a fact through the enumeration of the significant elements (though sometimes marginal) for that person, that object, that done.
2) There are different types of description:
- abstract / summary
- report (an event)
- descriptive review (for specialized magazine)
- news story (pink, black, customs, current events, etc.. )

all intended to maximize the objectivity and do not require the "point of view of the writer.
Summary:
- Please read the title of the text (it contains valuable information)
- Please read the text several times
- divide the text into segments / paragraphs and be able to isolate the most important information from secondary
- restore the text After we break it down, connecting the main information and avoiding unnecessary. Objective in a few adjectives.
- Use the generalization and nominalization
- use a simple style with a preference for the bulkhead
- consistent use of tenses (preferably the present tense)
- operate, if required, the change of cutting
Summary :
- it is very shorter summary
- you isolate the keywords text
- it rewrites the source text using the key words by including them in the short term but significant
- you prefer the bulkhead
- An example of synthesis is the back cover of a book;
Report of an event (exhibition, conference, the first film presentation of a book, etc..) must contain:
- date, place, time, title of the event (all the technical information for the reader )
- News about the turnout and the composition of public
- objective description of the event (who are the promoters, participants, authors)
review of a written text (essay, novel, etc.). Must contain.
- Date, title, author, publisher, bibliographic information, the target volume.
- Work on the author's previous works (but not always)
- Description of the structure of the text (chapters, parts, paragraphs, references, any illustrations, appendices, special printing and content)
- Quote of significant steps forward (with references the number of p.. parenthesis)
- When it comes to review with the opinion of value (usually shorter and less structured), note whether or not the originality, usefulness or otherwise, the text in question.
