11 - PUBLISHING RULES (ALSO FOR THE THESIS ...)
Editorial Guidelines for the preparation of a thesis
General Rules 1) Use the line spacing 2 : that is, you do so from one line to another one of the text there is ample white space to facilitate reading and the integration of information and manual corrections.
2) Number each sheet. Any word processor can automatically number pages when printing on paper.
3) Always keep a backup copy (floppy disk or CD ROM) labor
as you type ...
Enter the text only the space required by the separation between the words and phrases.
Go 'head' (using the 'send' or 'return') at the end of a paragraph.
Feel free to use the automatic spelling checker But remember that there are errors that the computer does not find: eg. "The light of wool" and "Moonlight" on the computer both sentences are correct!

Attention to the proper accentuation and apostrophes in conjunctions, adverbs, pronouns, etc..
The emphasis is always grave (`) on the vowels a, i, u already
more so
gives (to distinguish the voice of the verb" give "by the same preposition)
there (fwd of all, to distinguish it from 'article "the")

some words that have undergone the truncation of an entire syllable

be '(good)
ca' (house)
Some imperatives from '/ by (from' listen to your mother!)
to '/ say (of' pure what you think)
ago 'or to make (he' soon!)
is '/ are (is' Shut up!)
go '/ go (go' and come back soon!)
"what" is written without the apostrophe

USE QUOTES
a) high single quotes ("") to highlight individual words in the text that you want to give a relief or a particular shade;
b) double inverted commas ('') For quotations of any kind within a text, titles of newspapers and magazines, chapters and paragraphs of a book.
QUOTES
The long quotations (more than four lines) will be made in smaller and detached from the text of the thesis.
Brief quotations in the text should be entered within double inverted commas (''). If these songs contain, in turn, more citations, they must be marked with double quotation marks high ("").
If you miss some words or phrases within a quotation, the omission is indicated by three dots in square brackets [...].
The use of italics allowed and required to words in a foreign language or in Latin.
NOTES The notes are placed at the bottom of the page, if the program used permits, consecutively numbered and marked with continuous starting at 1.
The number of call should be placed in superscript without brackets, after any punctuation mark.
As it mentioned a book or an article in the note?
The information must be complete and accurate as possible
For books:
a) dotted name and surname
b) title of the work in italics;
c) any indication of the volume with Roman numerals ( es. vol. IV)
d) place of publication;
e) the name of the publisher;
f) date of publication;
g) page number (p.) or pages (pp.)
Examples:
B. Cross, The poetry of Dante, Bari, Laterza, 1943, p. 55.
L. Salvatorelli, Profile the history of Europe, vol. II, Torino, Einaudi, 1944, pp. 809-12.
For articles in magazines and newspapers
a) the name and the title of the article have the same features as above for quotes from books.
b) the journal title should be in quotation marks round "double low", with the following information arranged in this order:
c) year or volume of the journal in Roman numerals (I, II, III, IV, V, etc.).
d) file number in Arabic numerals (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc.).
and ) calendar year of the publication of the magazine in Arabic numeral
f) the number of pp.
Examples:
C. Santoli, Gioacchino Belli's poetry, "Synesthesia," a. II, No. 2, 2005, pp. 22-35.
If we quote from a newspaper:
B. Severgnini, The Italians who write, "Corriere della Sera, 28.2.2008, p. 4.
